I have had this diverting ostomy for 4 months and in 3 weeks will be reconnected again. First time 15 years ago.

Will the adjustment period be faster since I have had a working pouch for so long? Or maybe no adjustment?

Also, I'm trying to determine how aggressive I should be with weight gain, I don't remember from last time if I'll be losing a lot of weight. I know my appetite will be off for a while.

thanks I feel like a have a fresh start with my pouch to get it right this time, I suffer from chronic pouchitis, so any other suggestions I would appreciate

I'm really not sure at all but I'd like to think you'd have very little adjustment time. Just wanted to say good luck.....hope this does the trick!
