There are some multivitamins I'm taking I suspect can cause diarrhea to me, as they have got a strange odor to me (I think that when our nose is saying to us something, we should listen to it) definitelly not pleasant for me, I always take one tablet but this time (about 20 days ago) I changed label as I didn't find the previous one. I'm not sure to suspend them as I tried everything last 10 days but diarrhea didnt solve; no other major symptoms (urgency, anus pain subsided, no visible blood)

it usually clears up using ciprofloxacine when I have pouchitis (as I think I'm having);

I cut out all the wheaten and dairy. I'm basically eating white rice and fish/meats.

Usually cipro will thicken stool fast, this time, I'm having liquid stools (and quite about 10 days are passed) and I'm beginning to worrying that cipro is not working anymore.

Strange thing is that psyllium is not doing much, usually it helps really much, this time the watery is always there.

Today I'll add metronidazole (Flagyl) for 5 days course, but I have a suspect.

Hey I'm quite worried as usually my diarrhea doesn't last more than few days, this time it's annoying don't want it to be chronic!

Ok, I'm at the second Flagyl pill (3xday), already have a very light start of headhache (as usual) and still did not notice the metal taste but it's arriving. Hope the watery stuff subsides soon.
I decided to take the multivitamin after lunch so if Flagyl works, I rule out a possible mulitivitamin intollerance.

BTW I'm still looking for the best mantainance treatment when off (hopefully) antibiotics: I'm planning to follow the antigluten anticasein diet for some time, then when the pouch is well I'll take 2 doses of psyllium, and perhaps will try vsl3 per enema as already done (but during pouchitis it seems not to work), plus, if needed cabbage juice and garlic pills or oregano drops (the latter doesn't work in pills).

If still no success, I'll cut out the carbs at all and start with carrots + chicken for one week or so, then strict paleo.

Hope to keep the coffee as I cannot live without it (and think it helps its bitter taste with following a diet)!

Ok today I didn't take the multivitamin and surprise watery already subsided (I still have diarrhea), BUT it's also the second day of Flagyl! I was sure that I couldn't clear out this thing... I should have waited to take the Metronidazole, but I didn't tolerate the watery thing anymore... Any case MAYBE I will cautionly try to take the multivitamin again (after bloodwork) in the next day, if again diarrhea, well... And I think that it could be the magnesium.
