Anybody have any experience with Prepopik for j-pouch scope? It's a oral liquid for bowl prep. It's for people with Colons of course for colonoscopy.

Inside the drug prep: SODIUM PICOSULFATE/MAGNESIUM OXIDE/CITRIC ACID

Anyway, normally my docs don't make me take harsh diahrreah inducing agents for prep but they say this is what I need. I'm just concerned I will have some nasty bowl reactions.

Also a full 24 hour fast. Ugh.

Normally I've done no dinner, half a bottle magnesium citrate by mouth and a fleet enema in the morning.

I will have conscious sedation because i have a tight stricture.
Thanks in advance!

I would question the bowel prep again and make sure to talk to the doctor (the nurses that usually send the instructions aren't used to sending standard bowel preps).  I've had countless pouchoscopies and the most we've ever done is no food after midnight and water enemas before the scope.  They always tell me that if there is anything in there that didn't get cleaned out that they can flush it out really easily at the start of the scope.
