I have just found this website and am hoping someone out there can help me. I have tried EVERY cream made for man, and STILL have anal burning and frequent B.M's.   (I  take immodium all day for frequency ; not diarrhea).

I have to take a big glob of vaseline on the toilet tissue to wipe; and even that burns. I can barely let water from the shower hit the area. It feels like someone is pouring acid down my rear end. Yet, after suffering the excruciating burning for hours, it finally lets up, and it's as if nothing ever burned. There's no redness nor rash or evidence of external irritation. I am so frustrated. I've told my gasterenterologist and he compounded a cream which burned, as and creams such as  Hydrocortisone, Calmeseptine, Anusol, Nupercainal, vaseline, balmx, and even baking powder BURNS! !  I see stars and it's like I'm being tortured.

I can't seem to eat any type of fiber; grains, breads, crackers, or raw vegetables  or fruits, or dried vegetables or fruits.  I am so limited as to what I can eat. And, with all the many eliminatations throughout the day and evening, I'm gaining weight, and can't lose weight.(I take synthroid, and am told my  blood work shows my thryoid is in normal range.)

The pain is consuming my life, and I'm not much better off than before  I had Jpouch surgery for colitis April 2012, and take down January 2013,. I STILL have not had relief of frequency or of severe  burning/itching.  Please help.

My favorite back in the day was A&D, but since Vaseline burns you, it might too. How about Bag Balm?

I havent had irritation issues in years and years, but with my more recent issue with a fistula, Sitz baths are soothing to me If necessary. Haven't needed them in awhile, but I'd fill it with the hottest water I could stand and just soak my butt, then apply a cream if necessary. I tend to like petroleum based creams best.
