I've vacillated back to struggling to pass thicker stool. No changes to diet... I was dilated when my seton was placed, and I continue to self dilate. But all of a sudden, during my period week (which may be the culprit), whammo! having thicker stool with some issues.

I've taken magnesium in the past, with good results. MOM too, when things were tough. But while helping some, they're just not helping as much as usual.

Anyone have tips from their own lives?  Miralax?  Need suggestions for these times. Every time I have this problem, eventually my body kicks back in and will work again, but it's frustrating. I know most newbies can't even fathom a J pouch with thick stool!  lol. I never thought I'd be here, either. But here I am.

Thanks in advance.

Too many carbs, fiber, and my period all cause me to be constipated. I find grape juice and laxatives help in short term but there seems to be a rebound effect where I end up even worse off a day or two later, so have found it is just better to wait it out.  I find eating lots of fresh fruit and soft cooked vegetables and cutting down on carbs really helps if you can tolerate them.
