Hi all, I will begin IVF treatment, or that is, I will begin taking the hormones soon. I am just a little bit concerned about the whole ordeal. I have had 8 surgeries, last one in jan. 2012. What I am thinking about is:

* how the hormones will affect my pouch?
* what if something goes wrong when they take out the eggs (small chance of ending up in surgery again)?
* how will my pouch function during pregnancy?

I have had quite a few problems with my pouch swelling up and have had quite a few dialations.

Please, share your experiences with me. Thank you guys!

Rikke

Hello!! How exciting you are starting IVF. Thanks to IVF, I have a beautiful 9 month old baby girl. I was freaking out a little in the beginning when I had to give myself shots in the stomach. Once I did the first one, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. You going through 8 surgeries, the shots will feel like nothing (I hate needles so much)! The hormones for me didn't mess with my pouch. The whole procedure was very smooth and I actually felt sooooo great being pregnant. I actually felt better being pregnant. My pouch was fine throughout the pregnancy and my bowels actually slowed down a bit, which was nice! I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted. If you have any other questions let me know. How crazy your screen name is LoveLife and I am Jodiloveslife-lol
