Re: Mucus with a J-Pouch?

Hey everyone,

Just had a quick concern. I had my takedown in September, nearly 6 months ago. Just had a bowel movement and noticed mucus on a stool. Is this normal? Should I contact my surgeons office about it?

I'm on antibiotics at the moment as well, not sure if that would have anything to do with it.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Whenever I need to take antibiotics I also take Align in order to balance things out. I usually don't take or need a probiotic except when taking antibiotics. You might see if doing so helps you. Sounds like thrush. Very common.
