So it's been about a year and a half since takedown and while things are better than they were a year ago, I still can't leave the house most of the time and still use the bathroom anywhere from 10-20 times a day. I'm taking Buedesonide, Humira, and Flagyl which have all helped to some degree but not totally. My GI is referring me to the IBD clinic at University of Utah and I wondered if anyone here had any experience of working with them. If this doesn't work, I'm willing to travel further, but am hoping to find some answers closer to home.

I was treated at the IBD clinic and was not impressed. Granted utah doctors misdiagnosed me for 10+ years. My surgeons from there and PCMC (primary childrens) were great but the GI's weren't. I had a German doctor and another one who both talked down to me and didn't even listen to my concerns. I will tell you doctor Steven Desautels in Sandy, it part of granite peaks GI is very good and the only one who thought to test my DNA.

If you really want to travel...in Oceanside California is where I've found the best doctor to date. Mind you I've been dealing with GI's since I was 12 years old. Christopher Devereaux. He gave me my life back. He figured out what was really wrong with me and I am down to 2 medicines and that's it. I rarely get sick. I haven't had a flare in over a year. This guy is a bulldog and doesn't stop until he has the answers.
