Thanks to those that mentioned forvia vitamins (for people with absorption issues) on this site.(http://www.inovera.com/forvia/)
I have been anemic since my BCIR 12 years ago. I have had various IV iron treatments over the years, the latest being ferraheme. I usually get treatments every 4-6 months. I started taking the forvia vitamins 7 months ago and was pleasantly surprised that my latest blood test was one of the best ever (HB 13.4, ferratin 120.)This will be the first time in 12 yrs that I have NOT needed the iron treatment after a 7 month break. The dr. thinks maybe my body has finally adjusted--but it's quite a coincidence that I started the vitamins after the last treatment 7 months ago.
I take 2 vitamins a day and that is really the only thing I have changed. I am not eating as many veggies as I used to, since they don't seem to digest as well as they used to.(use a blender when possible for veggies)
Just wanted to say THANKS and hope this will help someone else with a pouch.
