How many people could feel things really low after surgery, still having discharge almost three weeks out, sometimes white but mostly brownish pink. I just always feel like theres something there. I guess it could be where the pouch is sewn to the rectal cuff. I know she said my inflamation was really low. But it actually feels like I used to feel down there before the surgery. I always felt like I had sensation on one side too, when I would have a bowel movement. I had pain before on one side so maybe at one point I had a fissure. just guessing, but I am so nervous that I wont have good retention. The spasms I was having stopped, I have just had a couple light ones now and then. do some cuffs take longer to heal. thanks

I know three weeks feels like forever but honestly you are still pretty newly out of surgery. I had a feeling of "anal pressure" (no other way to describe it) for at least a month after that surgery. Sorry I can't remember more exactly, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. Try to relax and let your body do its job (healing!)

I am 4 weeks and 2 days post j pouch surgery and I have exactly the same sensations and discharge as you.

it started off more liquidy (cloudly/yellow) but now its more solid and is pink/brown.

I think it could be a combination of stool passing through the loop ileostomy as well as old stool left in the bowel before surgery.

anyway I saw my surgeon yesterday and he wasn't concerned. he did say that the join is very low down. he stuck his finger up into the pouch and he said it felt ok.

all I can say is that this week the discomfort has got a lot less and im sure you will find this happens to you too.

so really its nothing to worry about...
