Hi,

About an hour after dinner, I started getting bad abdominal cramps, severe burping, and nausea. The burping is quite bad and I am very close to vomitting. I also have a bag (ileostomy) and stool that is coming out is quite well formed (no liquid) - sorry to be so graphic.

Would it be wise to go to emergency?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on how persistent this is and/or if it is escalating. If you are worried, but do not want to sit in the ER unnecessarily, you can call the ER department and ask to speak to the advice nurse. She could tell you whether you should come in or not.

It does sound like a partial obstruction, but perhaps not critical (yet). I definitely would stop solid foods at the very least. You can try massaging your abdomen to see if you can coax some stool through your stoma (the typical site of obstruction).
