I've had chronic pouchitis for 10 yrs now and flagyl seems to be the one that always works .Tried cipro, xifaxan, budesonide, suppositories anucort and canasa. But now I have numbness in feet and toes the docs feel is from flagyl. But everytime I stop the flagyl the pouchitis comes back. They tell me the damage is done and can't be fixed but I hope I can not do any more damage. Any ideas?

When you go off the flagyl does the feeling in your feet come back? I have neuropathy in my feet and the neurologist said the damage is not reversa ble and he has not figured out what caused it.

I'm just putting my 2 cents in to say if they go back to normal you are lucky and don't take flagyl again. I wonder if all the years on asacol did this to my feet? Thanks for the post, I just thought of something else, asacol, to check out. I'm afraid until we find the cause I might get more problems down the road.
