I have to go to Cleveland on Tuesday to be put under and to be examined my dr.remzi. They think I have a fistula and I am very nervous about the whole thing. They said he might put in a little tube to keep it draining. Had anyone had this done? Any words of wisdom? Pain wise etc.

I don't have a fistula but rather a chronic sinus tract in the area where the jpouch was removed. I have had multipe abscesses drained through EUAs. And most recently a drain was put into this sinus tract in my last EUA. All with Dr. Remzi. The EUA will be a short surgery and you will go home the same day. Dr. Remzi will take good care of you. Just make sure you go home with a pain med prescription. good luck.
