kjeane, I will follow up with the GI you recommended, but I will have to talk myself into it first. My history with GI’s has been traumatic: #1 misdiagnosed me with a bleeding hemorrhoid: #2 refused to treat me, and referred me to a psychiatrist, when I refused to take more prednisone: #3 was actually OK, but decided to join the practice of #2; #4 failed to diagnose a blockage that damn near killed me: #5 refused to treat me after I insisted she explain my recurring symptoms: #6, well you may have heard, that GI thinks I have colitis!
Jan your defense of medical professionals is an understandable bias. I am a professional and currently working in a FQHC. The docs are so overworked it’s amazing there are not more errors. But the docs that have me screaming can’t hide behind ignorance or fatigue. I am enraged because there is no plausible excuse. There is, unfortunately, just a lot of bad medicine out there.
Fortunately, this forum allows us to be our own best advocates.
