I was looking at pictures and am confused. It looks like waste goes past the anus to fill the pouch. Is it possible that it is not taking the turn and building up in the intestine instead? My pattern 8 weeks post takedown is I don't go from 7am to 2pm but once I start I feel I have to go like every 15 min. For about the next six hours. I hold it but I basically go 10-12 times for 2pm -4am with discomfort the whole time, I don't feel a full pouch just sharp or burning pressure. Feel done then get of the toilet a feel it again ten minutes later. Stooped Metamucil today so not as much each time byt still frequent.

I had/have similar issues, but not quite as extreme. If you think about transit time, it makes sense though. Your dinner from the night before sits in your intestines, and the transit time may be slowed, as you are asleep. Once you wake up, you empty most of what you have, then eat breakfast. You presumably then eat lunch, as well, before your second bathroom visit, then all hell breaks loose. The second bathroom visit is probably your breakfast, and the rest of the day is probably a remainder of your breakfast, plus your lunch and snacks in increments.

What I've found is that over time, as my body adopts (I'm eight months in), I can hold that period as the pouch refills. So, I'm best after I go in the morning, then, after I eat lunch, I feel it more, but can hold it until about five. I use the bathroom at 5, then can hold it again until the end of the night. Depending on what I've eaten, I might go once or twice at night.

I also take immodium in the morning, and early afternoon, which slows everything during the day. In the evening, it wears off, and everything finds its way out.

I suspect that after a while, you'll find more control in the afternoon visits. Your gas is probably pretty extreme right now, and as that dissipates, it will also be easier to control frequent visits. For me, I also found that when I was able to think about it a little less (though I still think about all of this a lot), I was also able to slow my system a bit.

Just some thoughts!
