I do not eat breakfast until I get to work since I have a 1 hour drive. I want to know if what I am experiencing has been a problem for anyone else. I do not get the urge to empty my pouch most days until after lunch. I eat a breakfast sandwich and a snack, but do not get the urge to empty my pouch until after lunch. But, most nights I am up every 2 hours with a need to empty my pouch. I have only had one occurrence where I had any leakage. But why do I go more at night than during the day?

How long have you had the pouch? How late are you eating? Are your meals "tipped" toward later hours? And when do you take in most of your roughage?
Lots of different things could be contributing to this pattern. But, hopefully, it is one that can be changed because getting up that much at night is miserable!

I take Lomotil at bedtime. I generally sleep pretty well, but the Lomotil still seems to help. Imodium would probably work equally well.
good times bad times i get up at night at least two ,three times thats normal for me..and why things start happening toward evening god knows..i have tried not eating late still does`t matter..might help with ammonium after each b.m sometimes i do it sometimes i do not..i am just use to getting up..part of my pouch life!
I had my take down in March 2014. I eat dinner around 7:00 PM. With my work schedule and drive home, I can't manage to eat earlier. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I will still be up every few hours at night. I eat more during the day than I do once I get home. I tried taking my fiber earlier in the day, with no affect.
It might be time to try some meds to help then, as Scott suggests.
Hope you can get this sorted.

I take two lomotil right before bed time.
Check with your dr first. I had my takedown in April and my dr doesn't want me taking Imodium or Lomotil yet. I'm not sure why - he just says it messes up the regular adaptation my body is going thru; however lots of people seem to take these right after takedown.
I had same problem with lots of nighttime trips. Definitely do better if use Metamucil after each meal. Sometimes I would take additional dose around 9 PM, with bit of dessert, and then stay up 2-3 hours until I can work up succesful, large BM. Then I could sleep 3 hours. Currently on Flagyl so nights are great! Going off it in 2 days so hoping good control continues. I also take 2 Immodium AD before bed.
