I have a fissure/swollen skin tag that I have been suffering with for over a month. Have been using nefedipine for two weeks. Told surgeon I had some hydrocodone left from previous surgeries that I had been taking occasionally for the pain. He said that ibuprophen would help more for the inflammation. So have been taking 2 every six hours for the last two weeks. Had seemed to have helped a little for 3-4 hours at a time, but now seems I may be having onset of pouchitis. After searching through this site I have seen that the NSAID may have actually played a role in the onset of the pouchitis. Quit taking the ibuprophen last night and started taking Cipro in hopes to knock out the pouchitis. The hydrocodone does not seem to be touching the pain. Can not function or sleep in this condition...please help!! What can I ask to be prescribed that will help with this pain. Obviously my surgeon didn't know enough about the NSAID to not tell me to take them. I'm at the end of my rope. Don't know how much longer I can take this.
