Rebecca I do not have a vagina so I do not know what the symptoms are in the vagina. On the skin, it's a red rash that is burning and itching. The times I've gotten it I I go to my dermatologist, he scrapes off an area of the skin (just little flakes of skin), looks under the microscope, and in 30 seconds he confirmed that was a mean yeast infection. Being a man I get it on my skin. Sometimes I see a flash of red rash in my armpits or my leg pits, I douse it with Zeabsorb and then it goes away before it really gets started and spreads. I've seen several times they start and stop before amounting to anything. Like a small weed you see in the garden and pull up.
I suspect vaginal yeast infections are a whole other animal because of the natural moisture and contours of the organ.
Back in 2010 I had a really bad confirmed yeast infection that took 4 months to treat, it was due to taking too much Cipro as well as Entocort at its maximum dosage. That yeast infection coated my leg pits, scrotum and entire genital area and actually spread a few inches down my legs. I finally knocked it out by taking diflucan pills and rotating off cipro onto Xifaxin.
