Was just wondering out there does anyone notice a difference when they empty their Jpouch either sitting on the throne or squatting. I am awaiting my takedown here in Ireland and was just wondering.

I can't easily squat (as proven by my trips to Asia and my attempts to use the more traditional Asian toilets....hole in the ground). However, my J-pouch empties best if I'm seated on a toilet which is low/closer to the ground rather than one that is "raised". Many of my friends (older ones) prefer high raised toilets and I find using them not to be as "productive" as when I use a more typical toilet and my knees are practically up to my chin when seated. My toilet at home is low and I installed grab bars to make the "rising from it" easier on me.

I don't want to scare you but my husband had his takedown surgery 6 weeks ago and the only way he can empty is by standing up. Sitting and squatting cause extreme pain and he can not empty completely. He has had a CT and MRI (still waiting on the results) in hope to find out if something is wrong. The Dr. seems to think things just have to work themselves out. Hopefully you will not experience this but wanted to let you know its a possibility.
