I would highly suggest making a trip to Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic.

These doctors work with pouch patients on a daily basis.

Even the most experienced community doctor might only see a patient with a pouch once a month. The difference in experience often makes all the difference.

If you are not able to make the trip or have the means, I would suggest contacting your local CCFA office (crohns and colitis foundation of America). They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Dr. Bo Shen at the Cleveland Clinic is one of the most knowledgeable in the US.

Who have you been seeing near Boston? Just curious.

I also live in Boston area and would be intersted in a GI who has knowledge of J pouch.

I would also recommed Dr.Shen at Cleveland. He is worth the trip!

So.....how 'bout those Boston area GI's? Anybody?
I know Cleveland Clinic is the best, but I'd like to have someone close to home.

I heard Dr.Josh Korzenik at Brigham and Womens is very good.

I contacted Dr. Bo Shen via email and asked who he would recommend in the Philadelphia area. He wrote back within an hour and recommended a doctor. I'm sure he would be able to recommend one in your area as well.

I was a random person. I called the clinic's phone number and asked if they could find out who Dr. Shen would recommend. They said to contact him direct and ask him. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast he responded.
