I have eaten one hot dog since my surgeries. Sure enough, it blocked me....

If you are going to try, chew the living you know what out of it.

Good luck. I personally avoid them now but they are tasty.

I never had problems with the hotdog skins ( I have a k pouch and it is almost worse because they have to come out of a catheter and stoma) but big problems with all of the nitrites in some brands...not sure if you developed food sensitivities or not but for those that have, nitrites can be a problem.

Corn dogs are one of the fastest things I can get at the mall where I work at...have them 1-2 times a week. Just like anything else...chew well... :-)

Never had an issue with hot dogs.

When I had my ileostomy I was warned off of sausages of any kind because of the casings. If you peel the casings off then you should be good to go (in more than one sense of the word!)

The only obstruction I had (in 12+ years) was after eating a hot dog. Could have been a coincidence because my obstruction was caused by a twisted small intestine and not a blockage caused by food, etc. Also, it occurred shortly after my takedown and not while I had my temporary ileostomy....for a full year! I continue to eat hot dogs and everything else!

No obstruction with them here. They did come out pretty much undigested, though, teeth marks and all.

DAMNIT...lol.. well i'm not going to dismantle my hotdog at the ballpark and start peeling the skin off... I will look like a psycho...

Never had a problem... I wouldn't eat more than one or two though, and always with a bun. I am a slow eater though and a champion chewer
