Hi,
I have reached the 1 year point since my takedown surgery and am still struggling. I have found that the only thing that helps is Cipro and Flagyl. Initially I tried taking it twice a day every day for 2 weeks and everything was great at that time. Since then I have done a few more of those regimens and am now taking it once a day every 4 days. I feel like I am starting to build up antibodies to it as it is not as effective anymore.
I recently went for a scope about 2 months ago and the Dr. said that were was mild cuffitis but everything else looked good. She prescribed Salofalk suppositories which I have taken every night but they have not done much.
My big issue is consistency and number of movements. I find that the cipro/flagyl does a great job at providing bulk and greatly reducing the frequency.
Any suggestions on what this may be or where to go from here. I am also taking lomotil twice a day but I don't really think it does too much.
Thanks
