I am due to see a surgeon this week d/t adhesions that showed on a CT scan. I have bloating and distention of upper abdomen with terrible discomfort. Even eating soft foods seems to cause a strain with my upper GI area. It's so uncomfortable! Question: Has anyone had this surgery where they go in and lyse the adhesions???

I had it done about 8 years ago. They were able to do everything laparoscopically (this was before my j-pouch was created though) hopefully they'll be able to do it this way for you. The recovery time was very minimal, though I did has some discomfort for about a week after. Best of luck to you and I hope it helps!

Yes I had it 4 years ago. Still get some minor blockages here and there but nothing like before I had it done.
