Hey all, I'm new to this site. I've been a member of the healing well forums and have found some great help/advice there. I also asked this question over there and got some solid answers but was wondering if I'd get any other suggestions here, so here goes.
I've had my end ileo for about 5 weeks now and overall it's been pretty good with little to no complications. However, I switched over to convex light wafers from coloplast and I get this burning/pulling sensation on my skin under the wafer. I don't have any leakage and when I change the setup the skin looks fine and non-irritated. It's driving me nuts.
One of the suggestions on healing well was that it could be nerve endings adjusting. I'm also thinking that since this is new with the convexity, could it be the skin just being irritated from being "pushed" down around my stoma? Either way I hope it's just something that works itself out. What do you think??? Thanks!
