Okay, so long story short, my GI has washed his hands of me because I'm pretty much a basket case. He can't figure out what's going on with me, and keeps passing the buck onto other doctors. I'm done trying to force a doctor to treat me.

Basically I've been having ongoing pouchitis since my takedown in 2011 and cipro/flagyl aren't helping. I've done the VSL3 for the last year and a half, and cannot afford it anymore. I've been getting treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ but I NEED to find a GI in the San Diego or Inland Empire area that is knowledgable with J-Pouches. I cannot afford to continue to be treated at Mayo.

I'm pretty desperate at this point to find a doctor that cares. Please help!

The GI doc I mentioned is in Newport Beach. His name is Donald Abrahm, M.D.; 1525 Superior Ave., Ste 104, Newport Beach (949) 631-2670. He is very popular and you might have to wait awhile to get an appointment. He is very knowledgeable about J-pouches. I just had him do an upper endoscopy and my colorectal surgeon performed a lower endoscopy on me right after Dr. Abrahm finished his procedure. Best wishes!
