The number of bm's is great! stools r formed and energy back up. But....today my butt was killing me and then I found blood mixed in with the stools. I give up and I don't know what to do. I'm on cortifoam, canassa, endocort and xifican. My son won't be home for 2 weeks and I still need to get him tested if I do the fecal transplant. I'll talk to the doctor about my hubby but he was on antibiotics in Sept and he has ibs so she really didn't want me to use him. Hope I can stay stable. I'm at the last leg of my journey, at least the antidepressant have kicked in. Dec 26 will be my 14 th year.

tindamax. have you tried that?
also what about diet? I read on one of your other posts about some doc saying bacteria getting stuck. Is that like bacterial overgrowth? If so, have you tried low FODMAP?
and lastly..I'm one of the many on this board who are more than elated and happy that we got our mutant jpouches removed. Life with a permanant ileostomy is delightful!!!
whatever you choose. hang in there. you have been on a long and never ending road. wishing you strength to keep up the fight!

Thanks Liz,
Had a horrible reaction to tindermax. Shut down my whole system! ended up in ER! not good. Eat whole foods. organic! and lots of anti inflammatory vit, Just plain scared of more surgery.

I understand. but really what about sibo and bacterial overgrowth. whole foods, organic... that really doesn't address the bacterial situation. If you really do have bacterial stuff going on it could be another something non-invasive for you to try. FODMAP diet has a lot of science behind it. Basically you need to starve off the bad bacteria. Stop giving them things to feed on. There are lots of posts on here about it. I was told by Dr. Shen at Cleveland Clinic to try it and it helped tremendously. I know others that have had success too. It might just help you enough to get you to the next hurdle.
ok.. off my soap box!

Ok really, I'm going to look this up. Thanks
Ugg, that's how I've been eating. Didn't know it had a name? My functional med doctor put me on this 4 years ago. Another thing I'm failing.....
Hello all,
I read your posts all the time, but never post myself. I wanted to share this with you. I have tried all the antibiotics and even tried a fecal transplant (unsuccessful, I did not have the muscles to hold the "transplant"). I have recently found two things that have helped: budesonide (generic entocort) and Fage plain Greek yogurt. Per Dr. Shen, I open the capsule and take it with applesauce or yogurt. I think the yogurt has really helped. I get the budesonide from Canada. Although I have insurance, it is still very costly. $57 for 100 pills. I hope someone else will benefit from this combo.

Thanks Willow, my insurance detectable has not knocked in yet so it cost me over $500 at Costco for 15 days. How long r u on it? I see my doctor Monday but read some doctors feel it's safe long term and some no? Oh, I started drinking Kefir along with my probiotics.
