I had a One Stage Restorative Proctocolectomy on Oct. 15th 2001 where I then received my J-pouch.
It took many years, and since the past few years, I have had a problem of "moist anus" or "clear rectal discharge" which results in my buttcheeks feeling moist/wet especially if i do not use the restroom every atleast 2 hours the latest.
Can anyone on the site relate to having this issue?
Background info: I am a 35 year old man. Aside from my illness of Familial Polyposis which necessitated the need for the j-pouch in the first place, I Have been on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) Testosterone for 7 years now and I sometimes wonder does Androgen therapy have something to do with my j-pouch producing water/non smelling clear liquid discharge from my rectum/anus and leaving streaks in my underwear or when im just sitting in shorts/pants/in underwear.
If anyone can relate or have any ideas what this might mean in terms of if my spincter muscle has weakened due to being of a heavier weightset please share your information/respond.
for reference I have gained weight from being around 175-180 lbs at 5 feet 7 inches tall since 2001, until now. I have remained stable at 235-240 lbs weight wise since after j-pouch surgery.
Thank You!
