Hi everyone,
Last night marked the first day of our second journey with IVF. Our first attempted ended in a chemical pregnancy. I recently went through a bout of pouchitis, which finally cleared about a week ago...no cipro for a week, fingers crossed...I also had a pouchoscopy, which I haven't had for at least 5 yrs, and that was positive. So I feel set to go for the next round. I'm trying really hard to not get to anxious about the whole process, our first round was a bit traumatic...they had to do rescue icsi when only 2/12 fertilized on their own... Which is a day later and has a very low fert rate... They have no explanation for the low fert rate...all the eggs were good quality and dh sperm was in abundance....the mystery part of all of this...so this round we are going straight to icsi...does anyone have any positive ivf icsi stories to share? Just an observation... The pouch does really well on the ivf meds... Maybe because they are a bit constipating... Ovaries are painful, making the pouch a secondary distraction Smiler

Hi ladies,
I, too, am about to start my second round of IVF next month. I've had my j-pouch since 2004, and I've been relatively healthy ever since. But at 32, and after a few years of trying, we started our first IVF cycle last year. We did ICSI, and it resulted in two embryos. We transferred one which took, but we miscarried at 8 weeks. A few months later, we transferred the other one (FET), which also took but we lost it around 6 weeks. So here we go again. This time, we're going for a stronger stimulation to get more eggs and ideally implant two. Does anyone have any feedback with transferring two? Any issues with pressure on the j-pouch?
K
