I don't think it is from the pain meds, but if you have been taking them enough to be habituated to them, the withdrawal "might" cause the symptoms, but it does not sound like you took them with any regularity. It just sounds like you have some sensitivity/irritation in there. I am 18 Years out and I get that from time to time, particularly if my pouch is really full and I am delaying a bowel movement.

Have you had regular check ups with your doc? If not, it probably is about time and a good time to clue him in on questions you may have.

I just went through the same thing. And my GI doctor thinks I have a fissure. So I am waiting for some cream to use. The compound had to be made. A few weeks ago I wanted to die the pain was so bad. I am praying this is what it is so I can deal with it and not go through it again. I had a scope in the beginning of October and he said everything looks great. So I hope he is right. But I feel your pain. I haven't had it now only every now and then when I have the urge to go. Please keep us posted and good luck Smiler
