Hi there,
I am 23 and had UC from the age of 12. I had my surgery between the ages of 19 and 21 - with several complications - 6 surgeries all up which equals alot of scar tissue! My partner and I have not been using any contraception since January 2013. We get married in November 2013 and were going to wait until after that to really look at why we haven't yet fallen pregnant. Suggestions please!! I've always been told by my Drs and surgeons that I'll have no issues falling pregnant yet I've done alot of research lately and it seems to be quite a common issue with UC patients who have had surgery. We want children ASAP - it has been something I have always wanted and I would be devastated if it turned out I could have them, especially if its because of the stupid disease/surgery - it was the focus of most of my childhood/teenage years and partial adult. Sha'll we seek help now or wait a while longer?
Thanks!
