Curious if anyone else has ever had this? I've been having some trouble emptying and suspected it was a stricture. Upon DRE my GI thought it was a mild stricture (and that she had done a manual dilation), but she scoped afterwards and saw that the cuff was mildly inflamed -- no ulcers, but it looked "swollen". No pouchitis or anything else going on in the scope. I haven't had any bleeding whatsoever and no particular pain during BMs, it just takes quite a long time and often I have a feeling of incomplete evacuation even when I'm "done".
I didn't really get any relief after the dilation, if anything things have been very slightly worse since then. I wonder if the "swollen" cuff can cause symptoms that mimic a stricture? My GI gave me proctofoam to use twice daily to try to calm down the cuff, no change thus far but I'm able to retain it for at least a few hours each time so I'm hoping to see an improvement soon.
Any thoughts?
