I had a doctor appt to figure out what's going on with the inflammation in my rectal area, my surgeon is going to do a flex sigmoidoscopy. This is happening next Friday, Im getting some sort of enema prep I have to do the night before? What can I expect to go through with this whole thing? Scared all over again, getting some sort of anesthesia as well

Honestly, it's not a big deal. I had one last July. It didn't hurt...just a bit uncomfortable. And since you are being sedated you won't really know anything. I have another coming up in August and this time they told me to do a fleet enema a few hours before the appt. No sedeation. After all the years of being sick and in pain with UC, I am so desensitized to all this stuff that nothing really fazes me anymore so maybe that's why I find it no big deal. Try not to worry about it. Oh and it was quick too.
