I have been experiencing partial obstructions. This started 5 months after takedown surgery. Same symptoms every time, sudden onset of nausea, feels like a lump of concrete in my upper small bowel, pain between my ribs and difficultly swallowing. Next abdomen blows up, I stop passing wind and faeces so I stop eating and drink only electrolytes until it clears. End up just passing lots of almost clear fluid out of my pouch. Finally it will clear. However, if this takes more than a couple of days I end up dehydrated so end up in hospital for a couple of days. Each time I have straight x-rays which show bowel loops in the same place and my gastroenterologist is now fairly sure it is caused by adhesions. In the last month, the blockage seems to be there all the time, so have just been eating porridge and every time I try anything more to eat it all blows up again. Gasto wants me to have an MRI. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how has it been dealt with? I really do not want any more surgery.

I was thinking the same thing, ADHESION'S. I have been trying to massage my belly like I had seen posted on here to help mine out. I ended up in the hospital ER also and they thought I had a blockage also but I was still able to have a very very liquidy diarrhea. They said I can still have diarrhea and a blockage at the same time. Which is exactly what I felt. I am not dealing with burning in my stomach. But try massaging. Not sure it will help or not. But worth a try. It has been working for me. I started out only once a week and I have done a lot of looking at it on the computer to make sure I am doing it right. I hope this helps you out. I know how you feel.
