There does not seem to be a thread on this and there should be.

I know a topic that has come up on this board and in my CCFA support group is finding bathrooms when you travel. Problem solved. There is an App called "Restroom Finder." Totally free. I downloaded it onto my iPhone 5 and having some issues running it at the moment (due to my phone and not the program) but there are a bunch of other Apps out there on finding bathrooms. One is sponsored or created by Charmin as a matter of interest. They want you to find a bathroom so you can use their toilet paper to wipe your fanny, so it does not surprise me they have developed one LOL.

There is also another one called "I Wanna Pee" but I am not sure if that one is free or not.

Another really good free App is called Fooducate. This one my CCFA Group Leader showed me. He saw me drinking Vitamin Water Zero and put the product into his App and what the App does is it evaluates the product nutritionally and dietarily, gives the product a letter grade and suggests alternative, healthier products. For example it gave the Vitamin Water Zero a "C" and referred me to other products that were in the same category that it graded higher. But depending on what dietary considerations you have it is a great App. Also gives you calories and other information. Just enter the product name and it gives you all the hard info you need.

Anyone find any other good Apps?

Good idea! I know there was a thread on this before, but it must of been long enough ago that it fell off the trimming "cliff." Probably long enough that it would be obsolete anyway.

Fooducate sounds pretty neat too, but, for me it probably wouldn't work. So far, I've found that scanning the nutrition label is generally adequate. But, a lot of people like to use apps for everything. So anything that makes you think about what you are consuming can be a good thing.

One other thing about Fooducate. When you register you complete a survey that helps Fooducate assist you with your dietary goals. For example, I told Fooducate I want to avoid carbs and processed foods. But if you are Vegan or Vegetarian or have other professed dietary preferences you can program Fooducate to serve you. It also asks your gender, age, height and weight etc. It will tell you how many calories you should be eating a day based on all that info as well as other things. It is basically like having a Doctor and a Dietician in your pocket whenever you need it. The software seems set up well for iPhones from what I can see.

Here is another totally cool thing about Fooducate. You can pick a category of food and it will tell you what the best graded products are. Example: In the category of nut butters the top graded nut butter is Woodstock Farms Raw Almond Butter. They are handing out a lot of A's to a lot of products in this category, but Woodstock Farms appears to get their gold medal. I never heard of this product before but now I will look for it.
