What brand of pouch is it?

Are all of the bags where you've had this issue from the same box? Sometimes you get a bad lot. You should be able to contact your pharmacy and get a refund or replacement.

I'm only familiar with the Hollister velcro bags but the key with those is to always snap the middle of the velcro firmly first, and then press out to each end. I've *never* had a leak from the bottom of a Hollister bag except for once when there was a visible pinhole in the material of the tail. The velcro itself has always been 100% for me.

How thoroughly are you wiping out the tail when you empty? If there's some output left at the end of the tail when you close the bag up again I guess it could seep out no matter how well sealed the velcro is.

sherry are you sure you are sealing and folding the bag properly when closing it and tucking it under the flap thingy? Also are you folding back that very end part when emptying so that nothing gets on the velcro?

I use coloplast sensura and have never had a problem like that. In fact, that is one of the many reasons I use the sensura is because it is easier to empty and keep clean and it seals better than the hollister and some other ones.

If you have the two piece that is adhesive rather than a mechanical connection that might be the problem. I had several leaks with the adhesive seals, always at the bottom, which is logical. The adhesive two piece sensura is problematic. I use the one piece now and have no problems. I never had problems with the velcro closure on either the one or two piece.
