Hi, I had my take down performed back in Jan 2013. I was doing research on what could or would help with ultimately making this lifestyle a little bit better. Right now I take lomotil and protonix. I still seem to barely get enough nutrients. I have been looking into the possibility of trying out a 2 month cycle of HGH to see how that helps with the digestion. The reason it caught my eye was after my battle with UC failed I looked at new drugs. They use HGH right now for people with short bowel syndrome, which in a sense we do as our small intestine acts as our colon ultimately making it pull 2 jobs. HGH helps the body rapidly absorb nutrients. Also another benefit I saw was adding the mucus layers to the inside and outside of our organs. Which would help with pouchitis, inflammations bouts. It can also help bone growth incase you lost some due to heavy prednisone loss. I know there are some disadvantages but they arent anywhere near as awful as the other stuff they put us on and we suffer through. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this notion/idea. I am going to ask my new GI doctor at the end of the month..sorry if I rambled I hate posting/typing/texting. (side note HGH doesnt cause organ swelling...its other stuff people take inconjunction with it that cause it)
