Do you think going back to work 2 weeks after takedown sounds unrealistic? This is actually my second takedown (had a functioning j pouch previously for about 4 months) so I'm hoping that maybe the adjustment won't be as difficult. I usually do well after surgeries but I'm just so scared of going through the adjustment again.
Thanks!

I imagine if you're a lucky one who isn't hit with loads of liquid bowel movements and butt burn issues, maybe? I'm a critical care nurse, and I can't imagine that two weeks would work for me in my job, but if you did something not strenuous, and had access to a bathroom and breaks, etc., possibly. The takedown as an overall surgery is much less impacting than the first one (in an overall physical sense... though I had an open incision, and I'm sure those lucky enough to have it done laparoscopically might be in less pain than I was with my nearly 15" incision!)

You'd have to clear it all with your surgeon.

Well, it's not out of the realm of possibilities BUT there are chances that you won't be ready in two weeks. I could have gone back to work in two weeks if I was working at the time. It also depends on what kind of work you do. If you have a desk job with a near by bathroom then it's going to be much easier than if you are a person on their feet all day that's hard to be interrupted.
