Blood in stool - is it crohns??? | The J-Pouch Group

My son had my j-pouch surgery about seven months ago. All has been going ok but started having a lot more bowel movements and just noticed blood in stool. He is worried that it is Crohns. He did have a scope of the pouch about three months back and it looked good at the time. Could it be Crohn's or could it be diet? He is started to push the foods a bit some of which I think is making him poop a lot more! Just worrying since no one every assures you about Crohns. It has been a really rough run.

It could be cuffitis. His doctor can detect if it is with a simple digital examination.

And it may be nothing. We will all have blood in our stool from time to time. Nothing to worry about. However, since he has 'other' symptoms it might be comforting to get him checked.

If he's straining to go it could even just be hemorrhoids. If the bleeding persists the doctor should take a look, of course.

I was bleeding alot due to c.diff. has he been tested?

could be hems,fissure,cuffitis,etc....
