Hey Everyone,
I haven't been on a lot lately, since things with my IBD and j pouch have been goign smoothly. It has been little over 2 years since m final of my three surgeries. I am still the same, happy teenage girl. I have been noticing more and more of sharp, stabbing pains in my abdomen. Sometimes they are quite servere. Using the restroom doesn't make it feel better, and sometimes it comes on after I go. I am having the pains right now, right where I used to have my ulceritive colitis pain.
I really don't want to be sick again. I just can't take it. I really just hate having all these problems. I know other people have it so much worse, and I'm thankful for everything. I just don't want to go through any of those things again.
Anyways, do you guys have any ideas what is wrong with me? I just hate having these pains again. It sucks. A lot.

Sorry if I spelled anything wrong or don't make sense. Thanks for reading.

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is perhaps crampy pain associated with menstruation or even ovulation (mittleschmertz). Being a teenager, this stuff can come on seemingly out of the blue. Plus, with your history of abdominopelvic surgery, you can easily have adhesions in there that are restricting your ovaries and/or tubes. Ovarian cyst is another thought. So, if you are having no other symptoms other than this pain, I think the first step would be to see your GYN doc and make sure everything is OK in that department. If all that checks out, and the pain is persisting, then you probably need to see your GI or surgeon, if only for reassurance. It still can be just adhesions, but pain, especially serious pain, is not normal. Usually with GI related pain, there are other symptoms too. But, I know it can be hard to discern, since our function is so different after this surgery.

I completely understand you on wanting to forget about being sick. It just plain sucks, doesn't it?
