on occasion i go to bathroom and i get bright red blood dripping from the butt. it has happened before as well. funny thing is, when i go to bathroom again later in day there is no blood whatsoever? this happened last year about a week prior to my annual scope with Shen and i told him about it and said he didnt find anything on the scope . i deal with cuffitis and a sinus tract but would cuffitis cause this much blood? seems strange a few hours later there is nothing. could it be hemrhoids or maybe a fissure ? If it was cuffitis, it would have been apparent on your scope. Plus, cuffitis does not come and go in the same day.
More than likely, it is a small blood vessel that bursts, bleeds, then stops. Are you straining at all?

I've bled with cuffitis like this pattern. It's like the blood comes and then the pain gets worse with burning, cramping and frequency but not much more blood. Sometimes I don't have much blood at all and others I can have a stool full. If you don't have any other symptoms it's probably as Jan said.
Sounds like a possible hemorrhoid to me.
