Hi there,

I've had nightly incontinence for about 13 years due to a bad tear after vaginal birth. I think I may have found the solution....I hope.

But anyway, I have just developed a routine as "normal" to wear a pad at nite. Much better than soiling clothing and bedding. I prefer Stayfree Overnite Ultra Thins bc they are cloth-like and extra long. I just scootch them back a bit to cover my bottom.

It sounds like this isn't a regular issue for you, but thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who deals with it frequently.

I'm 4 months post op from my takedown surgery. Only time I had full on blow outs was when I was admitted back into the hospital for severe stomach distended. I think because of the IV, medicationst, and sleep meds they gave me... Plus when you're hooked up to an IV, the process of getting up, unplugging it, and walking, not running, to the bathroom takes too long.

At home, for the first month after being released, I wore a thin, night maxi pad as well... Also placing it further back in the undies, did this at night and if I had to be away from home.

I don't know if this is the same for you, but laying down is the only way I can release gas and it does it on its own, no pushing... So I'm sure like others mentioned, you were probably, unaware, but releasing gas.:-)
