I have hyrdosalphinx and my IVF doctor talked to many doctors including the chief of surgery and said not to do the lapraetomy because if I had a functioning and healthy jpouch, why risk damaging or perferating it or any other organ. So he suggested cutting or just going ahead and doing the IVF because you can get pregnant with a hyrdo. I opted not for surgery for the hydro because I didn't want to be cut again and didn't like essure idea. I got pregnant the first time. He tested my uterus before he implanted to make sure that I wasn't leaking. I only had a handful of leaks, they were always in the middle of the night and when I was on my side. So I layed on my back and didn't do bending til after I was implanted until it took. Luckily for me. You don't have to have surgery. Good luck.

Did the doctor aspirate the tube before egg retrieval ?
Did he give you any antibiotics during that time ?
How did the doc know that you were not leaking any fluid ?
Unfortunately, I have a large left hydro and I think lotta liquid leaks
Because I have a discharge associated with it and also if my jpouch
Is full and growling the liquid starts leaking I think due to the pelvic pressure
So I dont know how to avoid the fluid leaking in the uterus .
I am not taking any fertility treatments yet .

How do you know that you're leaking? Is your panties constantly wet? Womanly discharge is different from hydro water. It's like water...and for me it came in gushes and at night when I was on my side (squishing them at that time? I don't know) I have hydro's on both sides. I didn't know I had them until I went in for treatment. As I said, I had "accidents" at night but I just thought it was the pouch or I had an potty accident, I didn't know it was they hyrdo's. The doctor did not aspirate them before the retrieval. (they could still fill back up by the time he did the implantation) I did not have antibotics. Before the implantation he did a sonogram to see if there was leaking, if there was too much in his opnion he wouldn't of done it. You can't make your self stop leaking.

It's your choice. It's a chance. This all is. I knew for sure that I was NOT going to be cut again unless it was to have a csection. I was tired of surgery and having the hydro's clipped off wasn't going to guarentte me a 100% success rate either. If it did then I would of thought about it some more. And my doctor really would of pushed me towards surgery if he thought I really would need it. (so he says).

But I also have a constant discharge . I donno What that is. I had asked my gynac he said one can have increased discharge with a hydro ..but that is not like water .So not sure why and is that toxic too .
Anyways , what you are saying is right that its a chance that one has to take. I also dont want another surgery.I wish this was little bit easy after what we have gone thru .
Did you have any side effects from the hormones used during IVF ?
That is another thing that worries me and I have read that hormones can result in increased collection of fluid in the tube and hence more chances of spill. Did your doc mention that ?
Also, IVF costs a lot so that is another concern .
I have to start saving up for that.
I still have no idea how I will go ahead with this but I just Hope and Pray to God that he gives me a healthy baby soon !

If you're having leaking at night, then your discharge should be the same. If it's not the same then I don't think it's the hyrdo's. I don't have side effects from the hormones. Only thing I noticed from the hormones is that how I ususally am during a menstral cycle is was taken up a notch. And yes, the hyro's liquid is toxic. No my doctor didnt mention the increased collection of fluid. We paid out of pocket for the IVF so I understand the concern. But once you get pregnant it's not going to matter. And why are you getting IVF anyways, I didn't see anything you said, that said why you need it. You can still get pregnant with hyrdro's, it just might take some time. I did PGD and IVF so I didn't give my child FAP.

RE that I saw did a blood work and I have a low amh <0.20
So he says that I should get pregnant sooner than later coz with
Age egg quality will reduce . Also he said that if I am thinking
Of taking an ivf route then due to low amh its better to start early
As I may not respond well to the stimulation
He also suggested freezing eggs as soon as possible then treating hyrdo
n then going thru the rest of the process
I am having a second opinion on 19th from another Re
Coz the one I met is a great Re on paper and has won many awards n is well reputated
But he thinks its difficult for me to get pregnant with hydro naturally or with ivf
Cos the toxic liquid from hydros would interfere in implantation
Or if I m successful with implantation There is a high chance of miscarriage
So Lets see what other Re says .
Anyways I would like to take my time to decide whats right for us ...only thing is I donno how much time I have with low amh .
But I am glad to hear your story that its not true that you cannot get pregnant with
Hydros touch wood ..knock on wood !
