I have been getting dizzy, head-spinning, incapable of working on the computer for more than a few minutes at a time over the past couple of weeks (I am epileptic and my 'petit mal' seizures are pretty much dizzy spells mostly when I am sleeping or computer based)...I take tegretol 200mg 3xs/day (1 morning, 2 night)...I generally have 1 or 2 seizures/yr tops. This has been pretty much non-stop since I caught a bad cold mid-Jan. I have upped my meds, even added gravol (helps control the sea-sick feeling of the seizures and nausea)...I can't tell what it is...I have also had some foot and hand cramping. I have only changed my dietary routine in one way...I am eating carbs (bread) again after yrs of minimum to no carbs for months at a time.
I can't go to see my GP or Neuro due to insurance issues...could this be dehydration? I don't usually dehydrate so I am not sure. I still have a stuffy nose but other than that no other cold sysmptoms. I can't close my eyes without the room spinning and it is driving me nuts....I've tried pickles, upping the salt, sugar, fruits, fluids etc but I am not finding relief.
Ideas?
Sharon
ps...I've gone back to work 3/4 time and thus am traveling more, picking up every bug out there and eating sandwiches (thus the bread)...could it be stress? Psyco-sematic?
