Hopefully you will get some responses to your question. I assume by your post that a new pouch is being recommended?

My daughter just had surgery to start the redo process. Originally the surgeon was going to do it in two steps--disconnect old pouch and create a new one in the first step with a loop ileostomy and then the second step would be the takedown. However they sometimes do a diverting ileostomy first to give some healing time before doing the new pouch. This is what my daughter just had done. I have been told that a new pouch is a much bigger operation and recovery than the original jpouch surgeries. So from my understanding it is usually a two or three step process.

Have you had dilation done for the stenosis?

My one recommendation would be to make sure if you have a new pouch done to have a very experienced surgeon in reconstructs!
