Today was my first day back to work since step 1 of a step 2 procedure. I am working half days for two weeks then back to full time after that. I had a great day today, worked from 7:30 till noon and didn't use the restroom once. I think getting my mind off my bathroom trips is a real plus. Tummy is most active in the evenings so that helps to be able to work. Good luck to all who are considering this surgery. It was a long hard journey from Feb. 13th till now, but well worth it!!

Holly. So glad you had a good first day back. That's great. Are you still going like 10 times per day or has it slowed down? Do you get any pain from gas, etc.?

I am still struggling a bit with the pressure of feeling like I have to go. Like you it tends act up in afternoon and evening.

Sounds like you are on the road to recovery. So happy for you.

That's great news! I went back to work in mid April. I, too, worked half days the first few weeks. At first I was stressed out because of the potential unknown's and what to expect for bathroom usage. I've been lucky and have far fewer bowel movements from morning til late afternoon. Keeping busy and focused on work, definitely helps! My job requires that I travel(usually within an hour or two) a few times per week. I never thought that I would be able to do this already. My struggles seem to be lessening, so there is hope! I'm finding that I have both good and bad days but overall, the good days are increasing. Going back to work has been a good experience for me...
