Dr. Shen at the Cleveland Clinic prescribed these for my son. We are not having any luck finding a pharmacy that will fill it. Large pharmacies like Walmart and Walgreens can't get it from their supplier and the smaller, independant pharmacies say they lose money on it due to the cost/reimbursement. Has anyone had any luck getting this filled?

My best advice for you would be to try a hospital pharmacy. I was prescribed oxycodone elixir aftery surgery and it is not too hard to have a pharmacy order it; however I needed it within 2hrs and if Walgreens/CVS/etc even had it, they dint have the amount that I needed. The local hospital, however, had plenty.

Im having the same problem! I called Cleveland and even they can only send me 48/60 of them because they're on back order!! it's ridiculous. I've been told there's a shortage of basically all drugs right now due to companies losing money on them. I hate big business. I'd almost prefer to just get surgery again and fix the problem for good.

They only find new drugs to treat us with when it happens accidentally, like remacaide et all.

The companies that do make some of the meds we get really stick it to us too. My canassa suppositories cost over $18 each! That's after the insurance adjustment! No one wants to invest in making generic ones as the market is too small. Dirty Rotten Scummy Scoundrels!
