Hi everyone,

I had my reversal surgery completed on the 6th July 2012 - 1 week today! The surgery took place at around 9am and I was home Sunday 8th July by lunchtime which was a big surprise 'cus everytime I've has been in hospital I've been in for a week or two.

Anyway I've been getting used to the new lifestyle (constant trips to the loo, discomfort and ... the dreaded butt burn).

Glad I've found a forum where people are happy to talk openly of their experiences. I dread to think how people handled terrible illnesses years ago before the internet!!

I enjoy doing programming as a hobby and have been thinking of creating an Android app for myself and other j-pouch people. The purpose of the app is to record the frequency of bowel movements, pain levels, food intake etc, to create useful stats that the user can analyse and review to better understand whats going on. So for example, certain foods of drinks my increase trips to the loo, cause blockages, give extreme butt burn. I wanna create an app that has every bit of useful detail stored so I can work out what caused this.

What do you all think of the idea of an app? Is it worth while and are there any suggestions or requests that I've left out?

Sorry for going on!!lol Ive got a lot of spare time recently so want to be proactive with my time!

Thanks for reading :0

There are migraine apps that sound similar. The one I used to use would create a report I could e-mailed to my doctor before our appts. It helped identify the cause and eventually cure my migraines. Right now I just use a notebook on my iPhone for recording foods, reactions, pain levels and medications. I would be interested an app. that could track patterns and create a report. I am glad you are feeling well!

Just thought I would pass along an app my daughter has to help locate bathrooms. Not sure if it's on droids, but it's the charmin sit and squat? She couldn't remember. In case your trying to find a bathroom nearby. The only time she had difficulty was when we were driving upstate new york - apparently not a lot of bathrooms close...but we found some.

I actually just took down my app, LooTracker, at the Google Play market for lack of sales.

It helps you locate restrooms, worldwide, and allows users to rank the restrooms. The bathrooms are color coded (red, stay away; green, nicer than home!) and places icons that indicate if the restroom has a baby changing table, is handicap accessible, etc.

If people are interested, I can put it up for sale again. . .
