Haven't seen a post similar to what I'm asking so thanks in advance for your help.

Takedown in May of 2012.

My skin around my anus has been rash-red, dry & painful for about two months now. It extends from the top-crease (or "butt-crack", if you will) down towards the "taint".

I don't wipe with paper. I use water to cleanse. No soap.

I have tried several ointments but none seem to help the problem go away.
Calmospetine
Desitin
Boudreaux's Butt Paste
Petroleum Jelly
Coco Butter
Balneol

The more I move or walk, the more aggravated it becomes. Pain gets pretty severe at times.

I have seen a doctor who gave me Diltiazem for in inner-anal problem and that is doing fine.

It just seems like I could "bathe in buttermilk" with no success. Has anyone had a similar situation?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yeast? Could very well be a fungal infection in which case an antifungal will kill it...as my dad said 'sunshine is the best cure' so keep the area dry at all times (I know that is rather hard considering where it is)...but try using a blow dryer on the area at least twice a day, in the morning after your shower and at night before bedtime (on low please!) and try gold bond or any other athlete's foot powder...it really helps keep it moisture free and dry.
