sometimes i have to strain a bit more and things feel "stuck" in there..... it takes long to empty the pouch, like 20 minutes. but i hear some of you it only takes 2 minutes ?!?! how is that? can you tell me how i can make things move along quicker, more smoothly and easier? is it diet related? Do I need to eat more fruits or salads? I am not eating either of those. All my food is cooked, like fish and eggs.

I would like to spend less time in the bathroom and not feel like poops are slowly exiting. When I go, it's like small pellets that come out every 3 seconds....drop...drop....drop
(not a stricture, just slow exit)

anyone else poop like me?

i want to try to get more of a "whoosh!....done!" quick and easy empty!

thanks! Big Grin

Yeah, sounds diet related to me, but you may have some "tight spots" in your gut that are causing a bit of a chronic partial obstruction. You will find out if you eat more fiber (either in supplements or fruits and vegetables). The fiber supplements are less likely to get caught up, since this is soluble fiber. Fiber in fruits and vegetables is insoluble and more bulky. As long as I am continent, I do not worry about whether my stool is loose or solid.

No straining here. Lots of produce on my plate.

I've got a few theories about this (and everything else, for that matter). The muscles down there have to learn to deal with what is essentially a new organ that is not the same size/shape as the one they're used to. The pouch may also need to develop its own peristaltic rhythm separate from that of the rest of the small intestine, so that may slow thing up for a bit. I'm just throwing ideas out here.

I will say I can spend anywhere from 5-30 minutes in the bathroom, but I have to admit I'm usually reading articles on my phone and not really attending to the business at hand.
