I had my takedown 2 months ago, suffered a month of obstructions and ileus, and now am feeling pretty good but have continual bouts of diarrhea and leaks. I take 2 imodium 4 times per day and sometimes fiber powder and sometimes Pepto. I go back to work Monday and physically feel great, just can't seem to dial in the magic for consistency and leakage. Does this get better? Foods? When to stop eating at night?

Things usually get better with time. You are only 2 months post takedown.

Things to try:
1) Kegel exercises to tone up your anus muscles
2) You can drop back to white rice and then slowly add food to your diet. Pain, but if you keep good notes, you'll only have to do it once.
3) Try not eating after 7. Personally, I have no problems, I eat up to the moment I go to bed. Sure, I get up once or twice at night, but it doesn't bother me.

Marshmellows, peanut butter and crackers bulk up my stool so I don't leak, but I'm now several years post takedown and have, basically, no problems.

White rice and saltines are very bland and give you a good base to start from. Then you can add in more foods.

I think my next step was watermelon and cantalope. I was craving those(they didn't bulk up my stool, just sharing).

Peanut butter + banana usually slowed me up. So did marshmallow. Baked potatoes were iffy. Especially if I ate the skin.

My meals in the beginning after take down were small portions and several meals a day, but that was more out of an over abundance of caution. The only thing my system truly did not like was sugar cookies.

That would cause napalm like craps.

So, peanut butter, bananas, mashmallows all slowed me down and firmed things up. You'll hopefully discover what works for you quickly, and as time goes by, your body figures out the new setup.

Pouchitis, I think, differs greatly in that it feels more like UC again. But I really don't know as I've never had it. I did think I had it a lot in the beginning, along with all sorts of other random thoughts. Hang in there!
